Rishab Shetty as Shivaji in ‘The Pride of Bharat’

Rishab Shetty, who gained pan-India recognition with the success of Kantara, is now expanding his horizons with multiple ambitious projects. He is currently working on the Telugu film Jai Hanuman under the direction of Prasanth Varma. Additionally, he is set to headline a Hindi historical action drama titled The Pride of Bharat: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, directed by Sandeep Singh.

According to reports, the makers are planning to present the life of the legendary Maratha warrior Chhatrapati Shivaji in a grand and comprehensive manner. The film is expected to be made in two parts with a massive budget exceeding ₹500 crore. The first part is slated for release in 2028, followed by the second in 2029. Rishab Shetty will play the titular role, while Shefali Shah and Janhvi Bhosle are set to appear in key roles.
