Preity Zinta Makes Her Comeback After Eight Years

Bollywood actress Preity Zinta stepped away from films after marriage and motherhood, choosing to focus on her personal life. After an eight-year break since 'Bhaiaji Superhit', she is set to return to the silver screen with 'Batwara 1947', directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. Speaking during the film’s promotions, Preity said she initially felt nervous and anxious about facing the camera again after such a long gap.

She revealed that director Rajkumar Santoshi made her perform one of the film’s toughest scenes on the very first day of shooting. Preity said Sunny Deol encouraged and supported her, helping her regain confidence. She also shared that she never missed acting during her eight-year break, as spending time with her children has been the biggest milestone of her life. In the film, she plays a Muslim woman in a story set during the 1947 Partition of India. The movie, featuring Sunny Deol, Shabana Azmi, Karan Deol, and Ali Fazal, with music by A.R. Rahman, is scheduled for a worldwide release on August 14.
