Veteran actor Chiranjeevi heaped praise on his son Ram Charan during the ‘Peddi Mega Blockbuster’ event held in Hyderabad. Celebrating the film’s remarkable box-office success of over ₹400 crore worldwide, Chiranjeevi said Ram Charan did not merely act in ‘Peddi’ but lived the character. He remarked that Charan’s dedication and transformation for the role made him feel immense pride as a father and an actor. Referring to the actor’s growing stature, Chiranjeevi said, “It is no longer Chiranjeevi, it is CharanJeevi now,” adding that his son continues to prove himself with every film.

Chiranjeevi credited director Buchi Babu for crafting an emotionally powerful story rooted in rural life and appreciated producer Satish Kilaru for backing the project with conviction. He highlighted Ram Charan’s relentless hard work, intense physical training, and commitment despite injuries, describing ‘Peddi’ as a performance worthy of lasting recognition. The megastar emphasized that true success comes through dedication rather than shortcuts and said both he and Ram Charan work not for money, but for the joy of their craft. Director Sukumar also congratulated the team, while teasing fans about #RC17 by asking them to wait for an official announcement.
