Akkineni Akhil’s action entertainer Lenin, directed by Murali Kishor Abburi, has emerged as a box-office success after a three year gap. The film has been receiving a positive response from audiences since its release and is registering strong collections. Following the failure of Agent, the success of Lenin has brought cheer to Akhil’s fans. Speaking at the film’s success meet in Hyderabad, Nagarjuna shared his thoughts on movie release schedules in the Telugu film industry.
Nagarjuna said that Hollywood films like The Odyssey announce their release dates well in advance and release on schedule, while many Telugu films get postponed despite announcing dates. He revealed that Lenin was initially planned for a June 26 release but had to be delayed due to post-production work. Recalling the days of Ninne Pelladatha and Annamayya, he said final copies were ready almost a month before release. He urged filmmakers and producers to complete post-production at least two weeks before release to ensure quality and reduce last-minute pressure.
