Thalapathy Vijay's final film Jana Nayagan continues to generate discussion with its contrasting performance across different markets. Directed by H. Vinoth, the political action entertainer opened to mixed reviews, affecting its overall momentum. Although Vijay enjoys a loyal fan base in the Telugu states, the film could not register the expected openings, with limited promotions and competition from other releases impacting its performance.
Interestingly, the Hindi version has emerged as a surprise performer. Recent BookMyShow booking data indicates that around 33,000 tickets were booked for the Hindi version compared to nearly 28,000 for the Telugu version during the same period. Industry observers believe Vijay's dubbed films have steadily expanded his reach in North India, and this trend reflects the increasing acceptance of South Indian stars among Hindi-speaking audiences.
