'I Didn't Even Know My Birthday Until Fourth Grade'- Dhanush

Kollywood star Dhanush shared an emotional glimpse into his childhood while addressing fans at a blood donation camp organised in Chennai. The actor revealed that he did not even know his date of birth until he was studying in the fourth grade. He recalled watching his classmates celebrate their birthdays with new clothes and chocolates, which inspired him to ask his elder sister about his own birthday. It was then that he learned his birthday falls on July 28. He fondly remembered persuading his parents to buy him new clothes and using his savings to distribute chocolates to his classmates.

Reflecting on how his perspective has changed over the years, Dhanush said birthdays no longer hold the same significance they did during his childhood. However, he expressed happiness that his fans celebrate the occasion with such enthusiasm. The actor also appealed to his fan clubs to go beyond film celebrations and actively participate in social welfare and community service initiatives, making a meaningful contribution to society.
