

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy inaugurated Allu Cinemas at Kokapet and praised the efforts of the Allu family in strengthening the film industry. He said cinema plays a major role in shaping society and bringing recognition to the country. Revanth Reddy stated that the government considers cinema an important industry and will extend full support for its growth along with sectors such as information technology and pharmaceuticals.
The Chief Minister recalled the contributions of legendary actors like N. T. Rama Rao and Akkineni Nageswara Rao, who helped establish Hyderabad as a major centre for the Telugu film industry. He also remembered the adventurous style of Krishna (Telugu actor) and described himself as one of his admirers. Revanth Reddy shared that he used to travel long distances in his younger days just to watch movies, reflecting his deep love for cinema.
He highlighted that modern films such as Baahubali: The Beginning, Kalki 2898 AD, Arundhati and RRR have elevated Telugu cinema with world-class technology and storytelling. The Chief Minister said Telugu cinema should aim for global recognition and compete internationally, encouraging filmmakers to bring Hollywood productions to Telangana. He also witnessed the country’s largest Dolby cinema screen at the newly opened theatre along with Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, MP Vem Narender Reddy, producer Allu Aravind, actor Allu Arjun and producer Dil Raju.
