Dispute Erupts Over By-Elections in Dancers Association

A dispute has reportedly emerged within the Dancers Association over the conduct of by-elections for posts vacated by members who resigned. Association president Sumalatha has decided to conduct the elections, while a majority of association dancers are reportedly staying away from the process. The Federation has also opposed holding the by-elections and asked the association not to proceed with them.

The Federation has expressed strong displeasure over Sumalatha’s decision, alleging that it goes against the decisions of actor Chiranjeevi, the Film Chamber and the Federation. The Federation has announced that it will not extend cooperation to the Dancers Association over the issue. The developments have triggered a fresh dispute within the association, with the next course of action expected to depend on discussions between the concerned bodies.
