Ayesha Khan Detained During NEET Protest

Bollywood actress Ayesha Khan was detained by Mumbai Police while heading to a student protest related to the alleged NEET examination irregularities. She had reached the protest venue in Dadar along with her brother and friends when police intervened before the demonstration began. Videos showing officers escorting her to Worli Police Station quickly gained attention on social media, triggering widespread discussion.

After the incident, Ayesha responded strongly to a social media user who claimed her support for the protest could end her Bollywood career. She said she would rather lose career opportunities than give up her self-respect and insisted that citizens have the constitutional right to peaceful protest. The actress also alleged that police failed to explain why she was being detained and criticised the handling of the situation.
