Another Milestone for Mammootty with National Award Honours

Veteran actor Mammootty has received his fourth National Film Award for Best Actor for his performance in Bramayugam. The award was presented at the 72nd National Film Awards ceremony held in Ekta Nagar, Gujarat. Mammootty shared the Best Actor honour with Kartik Aaryan, who was recognised for Chandu Champion.

Speaking about the recognition, Mammootty said that being acknowledged at the national level is inspiring for every artist. He expressed gratitude to his directors, technicians and audiences who have supported him throughout his five-decade-long career. He said he gives greater importance to the story than the character and believes that challenging roles coming his way are a matter of good fortune. He added that receiving the National Award has increased his sense of responsibility.
