Jana Nayagan, starring Thalapathy Vijay and directed by H. Vinoth, was released amid huge expectations but is reportedly yet to make the desired impact at the box office. Industry observers believe factors such as piracy and a delayed release affected the film's theatrical performance. In an effort to attract audiences back to cinemas, the makers are now said to be planning a fresh strategy.
According to reports, six deleted scenes from the film will soon be added to the theatrical version. It is also being speculated that director H. Vinoth has hinted at this move, although there is no official confirmation regarding when the scenes will be included or their total runtime. With music composed by Anirudh Ravichander and production by KVN Productions, the team hopes the additional footage will generate renewed interest and improve the film's box-office performance.
