The much-awaited mythological epic Ramayana: Rise of a Legend, backed by Namit Malhotra and directed by Nitesh Tiwari, is gearing up for its grand release in just two days. The film has generated considerable buzz, with positive reports emerging from early premieres and promotional campaigns contributing to the excitement. According to the available BookMyShow figures, the film has sold more than 523,000 tickets, surpassing the advance booking numbers of films such as Animal, Tiger 3 and Chhaava. However, it is still behind Jawan, which recorded 816,000 ticket sales, and Dhurandhar 2, which crossed the 1.1 million mark. With two days remaining, the film could move closer to or even surpass Jawan's record, although matching Dhurandhar 2's numbers appears challenging.
The film has reportedly crossed the Rs. 100 crore mark in worldwide advance bookings. Trade expectations suggest that its opening-day worldwide collection could exceed Rs. 150 crore. Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash play key roles, while Ravi Dubey, Sunny Deol, Kajal Aggarwal and Rakul Preet Singh are also part of the cast. The first part of the ambitious project is reportedly being made on a budget of Rs. 2,000 crore. International composer Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman are joining hands to create the music for this major Indian production. With strong advance bookings and growing audience interest, the film is heading towards a much-anticipated opening.
