Director S.S. Rajamouli's upcoming film with Mahesh Babu, reportedly titled Varanasi, has secured its title without any controversy. Reports suggest that filmmaker Subba Reddy, who had earlier registered the title and prepared a story around it, willingly handed over the title to Rajamouli without seeking any compensation. The gesture has been appreciated in the film industry as an example of mutual respect and cooperation between filmmakers.
Meanwhile, Sandeep Reddy Vanga's upcoming film Spirit, starring Prabhas, has run into a title dispute. Independent producers claim they already own the rights to the title Spirit Is Not One and have reportedly received legal notices from T-Series. As discussions failed to resolve the issue, the matter has now been taken to the Film Chamber and the Censor Board. The contrast between the two projects has become a major talking point in Tollywood, with the industry's attention now focused on the final outcome of the title dispute.
