After Akhanda 2, Nandamuri Balakrishna initially planned his next film with a touch of historical background. However, following the outcome of Akhanda 2, he is said to have decided to move forward more carefully. As a result, the subject of the film being directed by Gopichand Malineni has reportedly been changed.

Earlier, there were talks that Balayya would be seen in a royal look, but that idea now seems uncertain. Although the film was planned as a social drama with a historical backdrop, such a setting would require extensive visual work and could delay production. There were also doubts about how strongly such a story would connect with the audience, which led the team to rethink their approach.

To avoid risks, Balayya and Gopichand Malineni are said to have chosen a full-fledged mass entertainer, similar to Veera Simha Reddy. The makers are planning everything carefully to avoid the issues faced during the release of Akhanda 2. With the aim of delivering another strong success for Balayya, the director reportedly decided to go ahead with a more widely appealing story.
