A video from Bihar has sparked widespread discussion on social media after a man was seen apparently stopping a passenger train at a level crossing. According to a post shared by the X account @SitamarhiJila, the man was standing at the crossing with his family when the train approached. After speaking to someone over the phone, he reportedly signalled towards the train, which appeared to stop shortly afterwards. The post claimed that his family then boarded the train at the crossing itself instead of travelling to a railway station.
The video has drawn attention because the circumstances surrounding the train’s stoppage remain unclear. A person recording the footage can be heard expressing surprise and mentioning that the video could reach the Railway Ministry. A vehicle can also be seen near the spot, although it is not clear whether it was connected to the man or belonged to railway or government officials. As the footage gained traction online, Railway Seva responded by tagging the official Samastipur Division account of East Central Railway and stating that the matter was being brought to the notice of the concerned authorities. Further verification and investigation are expected to establish what exactly happened and whether any railway rules were violated.
