The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) continues to successfully operate its Nitya Annaprasadam programme on a massive scale, providing free meals and beverages to lakhs of devotees visiting Tirumala every day. Started on April 6, 1985, with just 2,000 servings, the initiative has grown significantly over the years. Currently, nearly three lakh devotees are served daily during weekends and peak pilgrimage seasons, while around 1.8 to 1.9 lakh devotees benefit from the service on regular days.
The Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba Annaprasadam Complex serves as the primary dining centre, catering to more than 82,000 devotees every day. Between January and May 2026 alone, TTD distributed over 44 million servings of meals, breakfast, and beverages. Supported by modern kitchens, advanced cooking equipment, and nearly 2,000 employees and volunteers, the programme continues to expand. The Sri Venkateswara Annaprasadam Trust, with fixed deposits exceeding ₹2,500 crore, plays a key role in sustaining this noble service for millions of pilgrims.
