Telangana Language and Dialect Symbolise Our Self-Respect: Revanth Reddy

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said Telangana Language Day, observed on the birth anniversary of renowned people’s poet and Padma Vibhushan awardee Kaloji Narayana Rao, holds special significance. He said Kaloji highlighted the richness and distinctiveness of Telangana’s language and dialect through his writings. By portraying the problems and aspirations of ordinary people in their own language, Kaloji transformed his pen into a powerful tool for social awareness. His efforts to question injustice and uphold democratic values, social justice and human rights, he said, remain unforgettable.

The Chief Minister said Telangana’s language is not merely a way of speaking but a symbol of its culture, way of life and self-respect. Kaloji played a distinctive role in bringing literary recognition to the region’s language and dialect, he noted. Revanth Reddy called for preserving the richness of Telangana’s language and fostering greater respect for it. He also urged the younger generation to carry forward Kaloji’s spirit of public awareness and his progressive ideas. Paying rich tributes to Kaloji on his birth anniversary, the Chief Minister extended his greetings to the people on Telangana Language Day.
