The Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau (EAGLE) has uncovered a major drug trafficking network allegedly operating between Goa, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad. According to investigators, the gang procured narcotics, including cocaine, MDMA, LSD blots, and hash oil, from various sources and supplied them to consumers in Hyderabad. The probe revealed that the network was allegedly led by Vijayawada native Kommaraju Chakrapani, who had previously been arrested in a narcotics case in 2019.
After his release, Chakrapani allegedly formed a group with associates Harshith Reddy and Sunil Krishna and operated from a hostel in Goa. Authorities claim the syndicate sourced drugs from Bengaluru and Odisha before distributing them in Telangana. During the investigation, officials identified 44 suspected consumers and conducted drug tests on 19 individuals. Fourteen tested positive and are being counseled in the presence of their families before being referred to de-addiction centers. Police teams are continuing efforts to trace and apprehend the key accused. The allegations are based on the ongoing investigation, and further legal proceedings are underway.
