

State Industries and IT Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu stressed the importance of providing students with research-oriented education amid rapidly evolving technologies. He inaugurated the Research Education Advancement Conclave in Hyderabad (REACH) 2026 at JNTU on Saturday, organised by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education. He called for curriculum reforms and stronger skill development in line with the goals of Viksit Bharat and Telangana Rising 2047. He also suggested setting up incubation centres in every university in collaboration with industry.
Cyient founder B V Mohan Reddy said academic institutions should develop programmes that provide students with the practical experience currently sought by industries. Sridhar Babu emphasised the need to make research and innovation an integral part of classroom learning. During the event, he unveiled the book ‘Hyderabad: A Hub of Education, Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship’, authored by Telangana State Council of Higher Education chairman Balakrishna Reddy. TS Council of Higher Education vice-chairman Prof. E. Purushotham, secretary Prof. Sriram Venkatesh, JNTU vice-chancellor T. Kishan Kumar Reddy, Osmania University vice-chancellor Kumar and others attended the programme.
