

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has announced that a permanent Pan IIT Council will be established in Amaravati jointly by the state government and Pan IIT Alumni India. Addressing the concluding session of the Pan IIT AP Summit-2026 in Vijayawada, he said the participation of IIT alumni from all 23 IITs would strengthen Amaravati’s global brand image. He stressed the need for industry, academia and government to work together to achieve the Swarna Andhra vision and announced a Rs 500-crore Pan IIT Amaravati Venture Fund to promote startups, innovation and investment.
Naidu said Andhra Pradesh aims to create 50 lakh AI professionals in line with the national vision and plans to introduce AI and entrepreneurship skills from Class 6 in schools from next year. Quantum computer operations are expected to begin in Amaravati from February next year, while companies are targeting commercial quantum computer production within two years. The Pan IIT Amaravati Council will serve as a nodal body for deep-tech development, with plans for 10 industry chairs, a global mentor network of 100 IIT experts and at least 50 startups and incubation centres by 2030.
