

The Pan IIT Summit in Vijayawada showcased several innovative technologies and startup ventures. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu visited the stalls and enquired about the companies’ projects, investment plans, industrial expansion, employment potential and progress. He assured the entrepreneurs of government support and directed IT Secretary Katamneni Bhaskar to expedite land allocation and various approvals required for setting up their units in the state.
Representatives of Oxy Aerospace informed the Chief Minister that they plan to establish a drone manufacturing unit in Kurnool, supported by 50 micro-manufacturing units in villages for component production. Naidu also examined technology that converts petrol-powered motorcycles into electric vehicles at a cost of around Rs 40,000. He welcomed proposals for defence drone manufacturing, satellite-based city mapping and AI-powered facial health screening. The Chief Minister appreciated students for their technology presentation and said Andhra Pradesh offers a favourable environment for investments.
