Srisailam Reservoir Sees Massive Flood Inflows

Srisailam Reservoir Sees Massive Flood Inflows

Srisailam Reservoir is witnessing a significant rise in inflows as continuous rainfall in the upstream catchment areas sends large volumes of floodwater into the project. Officials reported an inflow of 2,48,148 cusecs, while no water is currently being released downstream. The reservoir's water level has reached 860.80 feet, moving steadily toward its full reservoir level of 885 feet.

Despite the increasing water storage, hydropower generation at both the left and right bank power stations has not yet commenced. Water resources officials are closely monitoring reservoir conditions and inflow trends, with further operational decisions expected based on rainfall and storage levels over the coming days.
