Several Key Decisions Taken in the TTD Board Meeting

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Board, chaired by B.R. Naidu, held a meeting and discussed 82 agenda items, taking several important decisions aimed at improving infrastructure and devotee services. The board approved ₹4.54 crore for constructing toilets from Alwar Tank Junction to Balagangamma Junction in Tirumala and ₹6 crore for pipeline works from Gogarbham Dam to the filter house. It also sanctioned ₹36.9 crore for building new mandapams at the Srivari temple in Amaravati and ₹3.6 crore for modernizing the Varahaswamy rest house.

The board decided to procure silk garments worth ₹44.2 crore from APCO and Co-optex and approved acquiring 19.49 acres of land in Coimbatore registered under TTD’s name. It also enhanced health insurance coverage for employees from ₹3 lakh to ₹5 lakh and approved ID and laddu cards for contract workers. VIP break darshans based on recommendation letters have been suspended until July 15 to give priority to common devotees. Additional measures include road expansion near Alipiri, construction of a dedicated bus bay, and discussions on township development near Tirupati.
