Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has alleged that former Chief Minister KCR and his relatives made several attempts to grab the Miyapur lands. Addressing a press conference in Hyderabad following the Supreme Court's verdict on the land dispute, Revanth Reddy said the court had delivered a favourable verdict to the state government concerning 550 acres in Miyapur. He criticised the previous KCR-led government for failing to make efforts to protect the valuable land. He also alleged that Goldstone Prasad Rao had attempted to take over the land and that an expensive car was gifted to Damodara Rao in connection with the matter.
The Chief Minister said some individuals had allegedly tried to acquire the land by using certain officials as intermediaries, adding that several officials were arrested in connection with the case. He stated that the government had successfully protected property worth Rs. 50,000 crore by presenting strong arguments before the Supreme Court. Following the verdict, officials were instructed to take immediate steps to safeguard the land. Revanth Reddy further said that the government would consider auctioning the land, if necessary, and utilise the proceeds for the welfare of Dalit and Bahujan communities. He warned that strict action would be taken against anyone attempting to encroach upon the land.
