Record Price for Ganesh Laddu at Auction

The Maha Ganapathi laddu auction held at the Bandar coast has fetched ₹25 lakh. Gummadi Bhavani Shankar, head of FCS Trading Private Limited, won the auction. The festival committee announced that the 630 kg laddu prasadam would be handed over to him. Around 600 devotees reportedly participated in the offline and online auction, which began with an opening bid of ₹63,000. Bhavani Shankar and his wife will attend the Varasiddhi Vinayaka Swamy Kalyanotsavam scheduled for tomorrow.

The festival committee said the 63 foot Maha Ganapathi idol would subsequently be immersed with the assistance of fire jets. Meanwhile, a Ganesh laddu prasadam installed at the Saraswathi Temple in Raghavapur, Nyalkal mandal of Sangareddy district, fetched ₹36 lakh at auction. Devotee Chintal Gattu Veeranna from Sadashivpet won the laddu.
