Heavy rains, floods and landslides continue to create a severe situation in Kerala, with the death toll reportedly reaching 15. Several districts have been badly affected, roads have been damaged, and rescue teams are working to evacuate stranded residents. Authorities have advised people to avoid unnecessary travel and remain cautious as more rainfall is expected.
Meanwhile, Kerala Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan has faced criticism after attending a private gathering in Malappuram during the flood crisis. Opposition leaders questioned his presence at the event, while the government defended him, stating that he was in constant coordination with officials and relief operations continued smoothly.
