

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the historic Quit India Movement gave new strength to India’s freedom struggle. On its anniversary, he paid tribute to the freedom fighters and remembered their courage and sacrifices. Modi said the movement, inspired by Mahatma Gandhi’s leadership, reflected the unwavering determination of Indians to gain freedom from colonial rule. He added that the courage of those who participated in the movement would continue to inspire future generations.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also paid tribute to the freedom fighters associated with the Quit India Movement. He recalled that the movement united people across the country and instilled the spirit of “Do or Die” and extraordinary courage among them. Shah urged citizens to give priority to national interests, promote Swadeshi and draw inspiration from the movement to work towards the goals of an Aatmanirbhar and Viksit Bharat.
