BRS MLAs Laxma Reddy and Mahipal have submitted a complaint to the Telangana Assembly Speaker seeking action against Chief Minister Revanth Reddy over an alleged breach of legislative privilege. The MLAs claimed that the Chief Minister read out a social media post in the Assembly that was presented as being from the BRS international secretary.
According to the BRS leaders, the post was from a fake account and the party does not have a position called international secretary. They alleged that reading the post in the Assembly misled the House and caused damage to the reputation of former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao. The BRS MLAs have demanded that action be initiated against Revanth Reddy under Rule 168 of the Assembly rules.
