Polavaram Gains Momentum with Fresh Central Funding Commitment!

The Central Government has taken a significant step regarding the Polavaram Project, announcing its commitment to complete the national irrigation project by June 2027. The project, considered a lifeline for Andhra Pradesh, is expected to boost irrigation, drinking water supply, and power generation upon completion.

In a major financial push, the Centre has agreed to release an additional ₹3,300 crore for the project. This comes shortly after the recent release of ₹2,300 crore, highlighting the government’s continued support for the project’s timely execution. The fresh allocation is expected to accelerate construction activities and ensure that the revised deadline is met.
