The Jio IPO listing ceremony in Mumbai reportedly turned emotional when Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani listened to speeches by his children, Isha Ambani and Anant Ambani. During the event, Isha recalled that her father was just 20 years old when Reliance first went public in 1977 under the leadership of Dhirubhai Ambani. She described Jio’s public listing as a proud moment for the family and highlighted the strong response from investors. She also spoke about Jio’s growth over the past decade, citing the company’s reported financial performance and its role in the daily lives of millions of users.
Isha also praised her brother Akash Ambani for his efforts to strengthen Jio’s digital platform and prepare for the IPO. Later, Anant Ambani thanked the millions of people who had placed their trust in the company. Comparing the stock exchange bell to the sound of a temple bell, he described business as a form of worship and said the benefits of success should be shared with the people. He also acknowledged the influence of Dhirubhai Ambani, the family’s elders, Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani. According to the report, Anant’s words moved Mukesh Ambani to tears, creating one of the ceremony’s most emotional moments.
