Massive Arrangements for Ganesh Immersion in Hyderabad

Hyderabad is gearing up for the grand Ganesh idol immersion procession scheduled for September 25, with extensive security arrangements in place across the city. Around 20,000 police personnel will be deployed for security and crowd management. More than 10,000 CCTV cameras have been integrated with the command and control centre for continuous surveillance. Nearly 100 high-rise cameras around Hussain Sagar and 24 drones will also monitor the procession, crowd movement and key locations.

Special arrangements have been made along the main procession route from Balapur towards Hussain Sagar. Several heavy-duty cranes have been deployed around Hussain Sagar to facilitate the immersion process. Traffic restrictions will also be in force on key roads as thousands of devotees and idols are expected to join the procession. According to the traffic advisory, restrictions on the main procession route will remain from 6 am on September 25 to 10 am on September 26, with motorists advised to avoid several key stretches.
