Major Security Boost Planned as Airport Surveillance Integrates with NATGRID

The Central Government is planning to integrate facial recognition cameras installed at six major airports Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Kolkata with the National Intelligence Grid (NATGRID). The move is aimed at improving the effectiveness of airport surveillance and strengthening national security infrastructure.

Officials believe the integration will enable real-time monitoring, faster identification of suspects, and seamless information sharing with law enforcement agencies. The proposed system is expected to enhance threat detection capabilities and provide stronger support for security operations across the country's busiest airports.
