A significant development has emerged in the widely discussed Dharmasthala mass burial case. Chinnayya, an accused in the case, filed a petition before the Karnataka High Court in which he mentioned the name of noted actor Prakash Raj. In the petition, Chinnayya alleged that several individuals pressured him to provide statements in a particular manner and claimed that Prakash Raj was among those involved. He further stated that Prakash Raj, through Girish Mattannavar, communicated with him in Tamil and expressed a desire to meet him on June 29.
The petition also alleged that substantial funds had been allocated for publicity related to the Dharmasthala issue and that financial inducements were offered for cooperation. Chinnayya stated that he had submitted details of bank transactions and cash payments to the court. The Karnataka High Court accepted the petition, sought case-related details, and adjourned the hearing to June 29. Reacting to the mention of his name, Prakash Raj said he would address the media personally within two days and urged the public not to believe speculative reports until then.
