Kangana Supports Maithili Thakur Amid Rolls-Royce Controversy!

Bihar BJP MLA and singer Maithili Thakur faced online criticism after she was seen arriving at Mumbai’s Lalbaugcha Raja in a Rolls-Royce Cullinan. Actor and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut came out in her support, questioning why politicians should be expected to give up a comfortable lifestyle simply because they are involved in public service. Several reports have estimated that the Cullinan’s on-road price in Mumbai can exceed ₹13 crore.

The controversy has also drawn attention to Thakur’s 2025 Bihar Assembly election affidavit, in which she declared total assets of ₹3.82 crore and no liabilities. The affidavit does not list a Rolls-Royce among her declared assets. However, the absence of the vehicle from the affidavit does not by itself establish that she does not currently own it, as the affidavit reflects assets declared at the time of the election. The ownership or arrangement under which she used the vehicle has not been officially established.
