Ganesh Immersion in Hyderabad.. Special Measures for Devotees Safety

Hyderabad is gearing up for the grand Ganesh immersion procession on September 25. Hyderabad In-charge Minister Ponnam Prabhakar said the government has coordinated with the police, GHMC, revenue, electricity, traffic, HYDRAA, water board, health and transport departments to ensure that the immersion is conducted peacefully and safely. Authorities have also inspected major procession routes and taken measures related to traffic management, electricity supply, drinking water, sanitation and medical assistance.

Extensive security and surveillance arrangements have been put in place for the final procession. Around 20,000 police personnel are being deployed, while more than 10,000 CCTV cameras and 24 drones are being used to monitor major routes and crowd movement. Rescue boats, trained swimmers, ambulances, paramedical teams, fire services and cranes have also been positioned at key immersion points. Authorities have urged devotees and organisers to follow police instructions, use designated immersion points and cooperate with officials to ensure a smooth procession.
