Focus on Delhi Security Ahead of Independence Day

Delhi has been placed on high alert ahead of the August 15 Independence Day celebrations amid concerns over potential terror threats. Security agencies have intensified surveillance and security arrangements across the national capital, particularly around sensitive and high-profile locations.

As part of the preparedness measures, the NSG and Delhi Police are conducting a large-scale counter-terror mock drill titled ‘Sudarshan Shakti-V’. The exercise is aimed at testing the security forces’ preparedness and response capabilities, with the Red Fort and other key areas receiving heightened security.
