The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is expanding rapidly across the world, transforming areas such as images, videos, music, software development, and chatbots. However, concerns over deepfakes, misinformation, fake content, copyright violations, and privacy risks have increased. In response, the European Union has implemented one of the world’s most comprehensive AI regulatory frameworks from August 2, introducing strict transparency rules for AI developers and platforms.
Under the new regulations, AI-generated photos, videos, audio, and text content must be clearly identified. Deepfake content should carry AI-generated labels, and users must be informed when they are interacting with AI chatbots instead of humans. The rules also cover biometric data usage, emotional analysis systems, and responsibilities of major AI companies regarding training data, safety measures, and copyright compliance. Violations may lead to heavy penalties, while experts believe these rules could influence global AI regulations.
