Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Forest & Environment Minister Pawan Kalyan has directed officials to speed up the formation of the proposed ‘Greening Society’, aimed at increasing the state’s green cover to 50 percent. He instructed that all formalities related to the society must be completed by July 3, ensuring strict compliance with the Presidential Order 2025. He emphasized that the project is highly important and should be implemented without delay.
During a review meeting held at the Secretariat, he stressed that every village panchayat must have a nursery, and where not possible, clusters of 3–4 panchayats should share a common nursery. He also called for integrating nursery development under central schemes like VB-G Ram Ji to effectively utilize funds and employment days. Pawan Kalyan further urged officials to transform the seed ball programme into a public movement for large-scale environmental impact.
