The Telangana government has accelerated work on the master plan for the ambitious Bharat Future City project and entrusted its design to an international firm based in Singapore. Spread across 30,000 acres, the project aims to make Telangana the preferred destination for Fortune 500 companies investing in India. The city will feature dedicated zones designed to attract global investors and industries. After multiple review meetings chaired by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, the government plans to unveil the final master plan during the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2026 in December.
Construction of the Young India Skills University within Future City is progressing rapidly, with the government aiming to inaugurate the campus by December. Telangana has emerged as India's fastest-growing destination for Global Capability Centres (GCCs), attracting over 200 centres in the last two and a half years. To meet rising demand, a dedicated GCC Hub and a Life Sciences Hub are being developed in Future City. Road connectivity from the Nagarjunasagar National Highway is also being upgraded, while the government expects several international companies to announce investments in the project soon.
