

Amid drought conditions, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu directed officials to prioritize drinking water supply and ensure there are no disruptions. He emphasized continuous monitoring of El Nino impact, rainfall deficiency, and reservoir water levels to manage the situation effectively. The CM reviewed the performance of various departments at the RTGS center in the Secretariat on Monday.
He instructed officials to efficiently utilize floodwaters from the upper reaches of the Krishna basin and take preventive measures to avoid fodder shortages. Regular testing of drinking water in urban and rural areas was stressed, along with field visits to inspect Anganwadi centers. The CM also called for reforms in the transport department by removing unnecessary regulations and enhancing technology use. Officials informed that they are closely monitoring the Godavari flood situation.
