

Andhra Pradesh Community Managed Natural Farming (APCNF) has earned international recognition by winning the prestigious Food Planet Prize, regarded as the world's largest environmental award. The award was presented at a ceremony held in Sweden, where APCNF received a cash prize of 1.5 million US dollars, equivalent to nearly ₹14 crore.
The Food Planet Prize jury, represented by Professor Lindiwe Majele Sibanda, praised APCNF for demonstrating how sustainable and environmentally friendly farming can be successfully implemented on a large scale. She noted that the initiative not only improves farmers' livelihoods but also contributes significantly to environmental conservation. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu welcomed the recognition and reiterated the government's commitment to achieving 100 percent natural farming across the state by 2047.
