Air India has announced a major reduction in its international flight operations, cutting several routes and suspending some services temporarily. The changes will be in effect from June to August, mainly due to rising fuel costs, global tensions, and airspace restrictions.
Flights from Delhi to Chicago have been suspended, while services on routes such as Delhi–San Francisco, Delhi–Paris, Singapore, Bangkok, and several European destinations have been reduced significantly. Some routes, including Delhi–Shanghai and Chennai–Singapore, have been temporarily suspended. The airline has also adjusted frequencies on Middle East and South Asian routes.
The airline stated that the decision aims to maintain network stability and manage operational costs. Passengers who have already booked tickets will be informed and offered rescheduling options or full refunds. Travelers are advised to check their flight status before planning international trips.
