MCR TIMS to Be Inaugurated Tomorrow

The Telangana government is set to inaugurate the Dr. Marri Channa Reddy Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences (TIMS) in Sanathnagar on Monday, with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy scheduled to launch the facility. Built to provide corporate-level healthcare to the general public, the hospital has been developed across 22.6 acres with a built-up area of 11.70 lakh square feet. The four-block medical complex has secured an IGBC Gold rating for achieving 75% water savings and has been developed as a Centre of Excellence across six key medical specialties.

TIMS Sanathnagar has been developed as a full-fledged super-speciality medical complex under a single master plan. The hospital has a total capacity of 1,082 beds, including 300 ICU beds, giving significant priority to emergency and critical care. A notable feature is the AI-enabled pneumatic tube system, introduced in the government sector, which is designed to transport patient samples to the respective laboratories within one to two minutes. The facility is expected to strengthen access to advanced healthcare in the public sector.
