The Central Government has imposed strict restrictions on the sale of petrol and diesel at fuel stations. It has clearly stated that fuel cannot be sold beyond the prescribed limits. The move aims to curb bulk purchases and prevent black marketing.
As per the new rule, a maximum of 200 litres of diesel can be sold per vehicle per day. Fuel can only be dispensed into containers approved by the Petroleum Safety Authority. These temporary restrictions will remain in effect for 90 days.
