

Telecom companies in India posted another record performance in the March 2025 quarter, earning a gross revenue of ₹1.05 lakh crore. According to data released by TRAI, this represents a 6.9 percent increase compared to ₹98,250 crore recorded during the same period last year.
The Adjusted Gross Revenue (AGR) also witnessed strong growth during the quarter. AGR increased by 9.45 percent to ₹86,716 crore from ₹79,226 crore reported in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. AGR includes licence fees and spectrum charges paid to the government.
The top three operators Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea contributed 83.59 percent of the total AGR. Reliance Jio led with ₹32,468 crore, followed by Bharti Airtel at ₹28,773 crore and Vodafone Idea at ₹8,195 crore. BSNL's AGR declined by 6.19 percent to ₹2,101 crore, while MTNL reported ₹333 crore. Government revenue from licence fees rose to ₹6,936 crore and spectrum usage charges increased to ₹1,017 crore.
