

Domestic equity markets opened on a positive note amid reports of constructive talks between the United States and Iran in Switzerland. Investor sentiment was further boosted after foreign institutional investors purchased shares worth ₹4,859 crore during trading on June 19.
Falling crude oil prices and the strengthening of the rupee against the US dollar at 94.25 also supported market sentiment. Compared to the previous closing level of 76,802, the Sensex opened nearly 360 points higher and continued its upward momentum.
At around 9:30 a.m., the Sensex was trading at 77,208, up 405 points, while the Nifty gained 122 points to reach 24,135. Voltas, PB Fintech, Amber Enterprises, PG Electroplast, and Cipla were among the gainers. Cummins, Motherson, Varun Beverages, and InterGlobe Aviation traded lower. Bank Nifty rose 157 points, while the Nifty Midcap Index gained 261 points.
