Good News for Jio Users Travelling Abroad

Reliance Jio has entered into a partnership with US telecom operator T-Mobile to enable 5G roaming services for customers travelling abroad without requiring them to change their SIM cards. Under the agreement, customers of both operators will be able to access 5G standalone roaming services in supported countries while continuing to use their existing mobile SIMs.

Jio and T-Mobile described the offering as the world’s first 5G standalone roaming service. Communications technology company Syniverse will act as the connectivity partner between the two operators for the service. The partnership is aimed at enabling seamless 5G connectivity for customers while travelling internationally without the need to switch to a local SIM.
