New Technology for Cinematic Videos

Video trends are now shifting beyond high resolution toward emotional and cinematic storytelling. Samsung Electronics introduced the Advanced Professional Video codec on the Galaxy S26 Ultra to support professional quality mobile video production while maintaining image quality and reducing loss during editing.

Samsung also launched the Cinematic Look Up Table feature on the Galaxy S26 series. The feature allows users to apply professional-level colour grading to videos, making cinematic visual styles accessible even to ordinary smartphone users. Earlier, such advanced editing tools were mainly limited to industry experts.

Samsung said the feature was developed through collaboration between its Mobile eXperience Business, Samsung Research, and U5K Imageworks, a globally recognised colourist studio. The company aims to bring Hollywood-style video creation to smartphones and set a new standard for mobile filmmaking with the Galaxy S26 series.
