Bigg Boss Shalini Opens Up About Her Parents and Stepmother

Bigg Boss Telugu contestant Shalini Damera Patel has spoken about the difficult circumstances she faced from an early age. Shalini revealed that her mother passed away due to health issues when she was just eight months old, meaning she never had the chance to know her biological mother. About a year later, her father met with a major road accident while travelling to Hyderabad. He suffered severe injuries, including the loss of an eye and multiple fractures, and underwent several surgeries.

Shalini said her father later remarried because caring for her and her sister had become difficult for their grandmother. She described her stepmother as a major source of support, saying she raised both sisters like her own children and filled the void left by their biological mother. According to Shalini, after her father passed away following a period of depression and illness, her stepmother continued to care for them and even chose not to have children of her own. Shalini also said she once reached a point where she felt life was too difficult to handle, but eventually learned to face hardships and move forward. She added that she does not want people to like her out of sympathy and would rather be recognised for who she is and what she has achieved.
