Karnataka CM D.K. Shivakumar Sends Strong Message to Dissident MLAs

Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar has issued a strong message to Congress legislators unhappy over being left out of the recently expanded state Cabinet. Addressing the issue, Shivakumar said anyone willing to resign was free to do so and that he would approve such a resignation without delay. He urged party leaders and legislators to remain patient, stressing that political opportunities come with time and commitment rather than immediate expectations.

Referring to the political journeys of several senior Congress leaders, Shivakumar said many prominent figures, including Dharam Singh, Siddaramaiah, Bangarappa, Veerendra Patil, and Mallikarjun Kharge, had to wait for opportunities before reaching higher positions. He said the Congress has always provided leaders with opportunities to grow and advised dissatisfied MLAs to place the party above personal ambitions. Meanwhile, senior Congress leaders have been entrusted with the responsibility of engaging with and pacifying the disgruntled legislators.
